What Is the GPU Value Score?

Prices last updated: October 11, 2026.

The Value score on every table answers one question: how much gaming performance does each dollar buy? We take a card's reference 3DMark Time Spy Graphics score and divide it by the lowest in-stock Newegg or Best Buy price we found. The highest number wins on pure price-performance.

Three things it does not tell you: how loud or hot a specific dual-fan vs triple-fan model runs, how many watts it pulls from your power supply, or how it performs in the games you actually play. Ray tracing and upscaling results also vary more between architectures than one rasterization number can show. Treat the score as a shortlist tool: pick the top two or three in your budget, then read full reviews.

A note on 2026 pricing: street prices across the table sit well above launch MSRPs right now, driven by memory costs. That pushes Value scores down for every card, so compare cards against each other, not against what these models cost at launch.
